MARCH 1 — Thank Goodness God Doesn’t Measure His Giving In Pinches
This Month’s Message: Prayer For The Month Of Cleansing Winds
Lord,
This is the month
When You use the wind as a cleaning rag
To polish the dappled sky.
And sometimes when You do,
High up there against the burnished blue,
The young-in-heart fly kites.
I love to watch them dip and soar,
Colorful as confetti, saucy as swallows,
Climbing, swaying, tugging, darting,
Praising the unseen force that holds them up.
And I — oh, I’m like them too, Lord,
I must have Your sustaining presence
Under me if I’m to soar
Above the muddy fields and muddled hours.
Breathe on me, Lord. Hold me up high,
Not just today —
Every day.
Today’s passage:
“Give of your best to the Master;
Give Him first place in your heart;
Give Him first place in your service;
Consecrate every part.”
—Howard B. Grose hymn
Today’s prayer:
“You give me so much, Lord, I want to give You more.”
